Ensure smooth and safe daily lab operations while providing technical support to researchers and students across molecular biology, cell culture, and microfluidics workflows.

• Support of the management of the laboratory
• Ordering lab supplies and consumables
• Keeping and updating inventories of chemicals and biologicals
• Maintenance of instruments
• Preparation of common solutions for the lab
• Keeping a well-maintained lab with team members
• Supervise good laboratory practices and biosafety rules
• Support researchers and students in their experiments
• Conventional molecular biology techniques (PCR, RT-PCR, Western)
• Cell culture
• Library preparation for sequencing
• Immunofluorescence staining and flow cytometry
• Microfluidics chip fabrication
• Running experiments with different microfluidic set-ups

Profil recherché pour ce poste de Laboratory Technician 80%-100%

• Diploma of the lab technician school (CFC or ECL) or equivalent, or bachelor degree in a relevant discipline
• Experience working with library preparation and microfluidic set-ups
• Strong spoken and written competency in English and French
• Highly organized and interactive personality
• Detail-oriented, able to multitask and perform precise work, as well as record and report results with clarity and details
• Proactive and motivated to learn and master new methods and techniques
• Able to work independently and within a team
